Frequently Asked Questions
· What is an Iseeka ?
It is a revolutionary product consisting of a hand-held base unit for the parent, and a wrist tag for a child or vulnerable adult to wear.

· Is Iseeka technology safe ?
Yes, Iseeka operates in RF (radio frequency), it is the same application which is used in cordless phones, wireless broadband, and garage door openers etc.
· What does it do ?
The base unit can constantly monitor a child within a pre-set safe-play range. If the child goes out of the pre-set range then the wrist tag sends an alert to the base unit. The base unit can then direct the parent to the child via a directional indicator on the LCD display along with ascending audible bleeps.

· What is the pre-set range ?
The base unit can track a wrist tag up to an incredible ¼ mile away. However, the parent can decide how far the child is allowed to wander before the tag sends an alert to the base.
· If I have children of varying ages can the safe-play range be set to different levels for each child ?
Yes. The base unit can be set to give each separate child a range which the parent feels comfortable with. Anywhere from a few feet for a toddler, to ¼ mile for an older child.
The 1/4 mile range is based on a clear line of sight. Environmental conditions can reduce the range.
· How does the Base Unit find a child if the child is out of range?
The Base Unit FIND software and antenna are more powerful than the Monitor software and antenna. Therefore, if a child goes out of monitor range the FIND software and antenna will be able to FIND the child up to about 100 feet further.
· If I have several children, how do I know which tags belongs to which child?
That’s easy... you can assign the children’s names to each tag electronically on the base unit. This allows you to know exactly which child is where at any time, and also which one to track if they happen to wander too far.
· How many tags can the base unit monitor ?
It can monitor up to 16 tags simultaneously... ideal for school field trips, group activities or organisations.

· I bet it costs a small fortune to use ?
Actually it’s completely free. Once you have purchased the iseeka tracker, that’s it. There are no user costs whatsoever.
· Do you need to hook it up to a pc or have a Wap enabled mobile phone ?.
No. The base unit and wrist tags “communicate” with each other by means of radio waves, not GPS. This means you have complete freedom to use it anywhere.
· Where can it be used ?
Anywhere in the world, indoors or outdoors. Ideal for days out, on the beach, at the park, at home or in the garden, etc.
Environmental conditions can reduce the range.

· What if I take my child to the beach... are the wrist tags waterproof ?
Yes they are, up to 1m depth.

· What size wrists will the Wrist tags fit?
Wrist tags are presently one size fits all, for children typically between the ages of 1 upwards.
· What happens if my child simply takes the wrist tag off ?
They can’t. The wrist tags have a child-proof lock which can only be opened by the key located within the parent’s base unit.

· What if I let my child wander off and the batteries start to fail ?
There is a low battery indicator on the base unit which tells you who’s battery is running low at any time.
· How long do the batteries last ?
Approx 1 month of normal use, and as they take standard AAA batteries and watch-type batteries, they can easily be replaced.
· Is the iseeka designed to prevent abduction ?
No. Neither is it designed to replace parental responsibilities. What it is designed for however is for extra security and reassurance, allowing children the freedom to play, and the parent’s a little less stress.
· What happens if my child needs to contact me urgently ?
He simply presses the panic button on his wrist tag and this will alert the base unit. You can then quickly locate him by following the signals on the display.

· What should I do if I want to call my child back , and I can’t visibly see him. ?
We think we’ve thought of everything.... that’s why we’ve put a “return to base” function on the base unit.
· What if there are dozens of children around us all wearing the tags, will my base unit get confused ?
No. Each tag communicates with it’s own assigned base unit only, and the code they use constantly changes several times per second. This means no third party can monitor your child.
· So why should I buy an Iseeka ?
Because sometimes even the best parent needs help. Let's face it: children are fast. Take your eye off them for a split second and they can be out of sight. Countless times each year, parents lose children for a brief period in a shopping centre, a park, a beach or any number of locations. The stress and panic associated with this can be overwhelming - but it can be alleviated today by buying an Iseeka
